BA Political Science programme covers a comprehensive set of courses ranging from the study of Political Theory, Political Thoughts, International Relations, Human Rights etc.

Through the study of Political Theory, students may gather knowledge of the idea of Political Theory, its history and approaches and an assessment of its critical and contemporary trends and also reconcile Political Theory and practice through reflection on the ideas and practices which are related to state, citizenship and Democracy.
  2. International Political systems around the world will not only give knowledge but also will train the students towards comparative approaches and methods.
  3. Study of Political Science will help the students to understand international political system as it is and as ought to be.
  4. The study of the Indian Government and Politics is important for students for job prospect particularly in civil service and other competitive examinations.
  5. The study of human rights will empower students to stand for the protection and promotion of basic human rights and thus contribute to national and international peace.

  • Students will be able to achieved the idea of Political Theory, its history and approaches.
  • Students will be able to know about the assessment of the critical and contemporary trends of the political theory.
  • They will learn about perspective in political theory like feminism, multiculturalism, post-modernism.
  • Students will learn about different aspects of citizenship.
  • They will be able to explain different models of democracy and theories of representation.

  • Students will be able to understand the basic theories of Political Science.
  • They will be able to explain liberty, equality, justice and rights. Understanding of these key political concepts will facilitate students in real political world.

  • Study of Human Rights enable the students to understand the issues concerning the rights of citizens in general and the marginalized groups in particular.

  • They will be able to describe about the formation of legislature and power and function of the executive in India.

  • They will be able to understand the nature and different aspects of Indian Federation.
  • Students will be able to understand the Panchayat Raj syatem of India.
